Amazon has ended its surprisingly terrific Personal Shopper Service by Prime Wardrobe.

A notice on the landing page for Personal Shopper by Prime Try Before You Buy indicates that “Personal Shopper Has Ended.” It continues:

Alas, it’s time for us to say goodbye. Personal Shopper will no longer be available after March 19, 2023.

Notice on Personal Shopper by Prime Try Before You Buy, accessed March 4, 2023

Those who maintained a subscription to the $4.99-a month personal shopping service should see their subscription canceled and will not receive future stylings.

Those who have tried the service only have until March 19 to shop their prior styling picks before they are removed by Amazon.

About Personal Shopper by Amazon Prime

In July 2019, Amazon launched Personal Shopper by Prime Wardrobe as an alternative to Stitch Fix and Trunk Club.

Amazon promised to curate clothing to fit your personal style from over 500,000 articles from thousands of brands including Amazon’s Prime Wardrobe brands like Goodthreads, Buttoned Down, Lark & Ro and Daily Ritual along with labels from adidas to Levi’s.

Customers paid $4.99 per month for personalized clothing selections from an Amazon stylist.

I enjoyed the service the several times I tried it. My stylist sent me selections from brands I already appreciate like Billy Reid, UnTUCKit, Alternative Apparel, Joe’s Jeans, and Pendleton along with several Amazon Prime Fashion for men labels.

Personal Shopper did a nice job of matching their picks to my preferences.

Another great feature? Amazon would allow you to preview and make adjustments to your stylist’s selections before they shipped your package.

Alternatives to Personal Shopper by Amazon Prime

Now that Amazon’s Personal Shopper has shuttered, see why I think Wantable is worth a try as a try-before-you-buy discovery service for clothes.
