Amid Tariffs, Indochino Raises Suit Prices Up to 37%

Indochino, one of my favorite options for easy custom suiting, has raised prices dramatically in the face of new price pressures.

For months, I had been stalking Indochino’s Newborough Gray Suit, which in April retailed for $699. When I refreshed my browser in June, I was shocked to find that the price had jumped more than 35% to $949.

What had happened in the meantime? Tariffs.

Beginning in February, President Trump announced a series of tariff measures that saw duties increase in April to up to 145% for a time, before deescalating to average tariff rates of about 28% in June (though the tariffs can run much higher depending on the product.)

These tariffs have to have hit Indochino — whose garments are made in Dalian, China.

A glance at the Wayback Machine offers a window into their price increases. Based on a comparison of Indochino’s list prices on April 11, 2025 versus July 6, 2025, here’s a look at the price changes:

  • Hampton Black Tuxedo rose from $799 in April 2025 to $1,099 in July 2025, an increase of 37%.
  • Outwell Dobby Blue Suit rose from $699 in April 2025 to $949 in July 2025, an increase of 35%.
  • Queensbury Check Olive Suit rose from $629 in April 2025 to $799 in July 2025, an increase of 27%.
  • Hemsworth Navy Suit rose from $629 in April 2025 to $799 in July 2025, an increase of 27%.

It’s hard to fault Indochino for the price hikes. After all, you can’t sell a product at a loss, and it’s nearly impossible to eat a 30% or more more cost increase.

I’m still looking at that Newborough suit, though will be paying even closer attention to discounts and price fluctuations going forward.
